Matt 14:22-33 22And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. 23And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. 24But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. 25And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. 28And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 32And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. 33Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

• One word from the Lord sustained Peter on the water. It is possibly to do the impossible.
• Abraham proved that a late starter can still make it big. It is never too late.
• Obama has proved that it is possible for a black man to beat all odds and become the president of America in a nation where blacks suffered all sorts of discrimination, rising from the ashes of slavery.
• The life of Joseph showed that the conspiracy of household enemies does not need to stop you from fulfilling your destiny. It is possible to beat all odds and arrive at the top.
• What about Ruth? Her life shows that God can turn disappointments into testimonies.

I believe also that one of the reasons this story is recorded in the bible is this: We sometimes start struggling with a revelation we have been walking in successfully. Have you ever enjoyed walking in the revelation of divine health and healing? There comes some bigger wave of the same problem that makes one to begin to doubt what one knows. Peter saw the waves and began to sink. He was walking successfully in that particular revelation until he saw the wave. The wave may be big, but the Lord is by your side.

Revelation loses its potency over time. Each time we look at the waves instead of the Lord, we start sinking into defeat.

What do you do when this happens? How do you recover lost faith in a revelation you once successfully walked in?

1. Switch focus. Stop looking at your problem. Focusing on your problem reduces your faith to the point it can no longer sustain you. Look for the hand of the Master. Look in His direction. We must constantly return to the Lord for inspiration. This is done through prayer and study of the Word. Look unto the Lord, the Author and finisher of our faith. Read that revelation and study the Word of God. Read testimonies of others who survived a similar problem. This will inspire your faith. Attend every fellowship meeting listen attentively to the word preached.

2. Cry out to the Lord for help. Prayerless people can drown even in the presence of the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit for help.

3. Take the hand of the Lord. He always stretches out his hand to rescue us whenever we call for help in the time of trouble. Attend every fellowship and expose yourself to the presence of God and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You take His hand by obeying every instruction given. Peter only began to sink; he did not sink. He made the trip back to the boat on water. Recovery is possible if action is taken promptly. If he had delayed, he would have drowned.

You will not drown in your problem. God is waiting for you to ask for help. You will not go under, in Jesus name. I command that wave to die down now in Jesus name.

You will continue your journey to success in Jesus name. You will continue your journey to your breakthrough.
Your destiny will not be aborted. Your breakthrough will not be aborted!

YOU WILL NOT GO DOWN
