How well do you know the God you are praying to?
It is imperative you know who you are asking help from. He must have the capacity and the willingness to give you what you are asking for; it’s no use crying for help to someone who does not have what you are asking for. The more intimate you are, with the person you are asking help from, the more likely you are to get the help you want. The more kind-hearted or generous the person is, the greater the chance of getting the needed help.
This scripture says that you should pray to your Father. Jesus told us He is in heaven. How well do you know Him?
- He is the one and only true God. He is the Most High! His decision cannot be overturned by any other power.
- He is invisible. Do you know the God you serve? The Greek word translated secret is the word kruptos which means secret, hidden, private or invisible. You don’t see Him, but He is more real than you can imagine. He is everywhere, so you can be sure He is seeing and hearing you. He doesn’t sleep and He doesn’t get tired. He treats your matter as private and confidential.
Always come to Him with confidence.
