Let’s return to the word ‘Father’. Understanding the word father, will help us to understand the role of a man in marriage. The Hebrew word for father, is ab or abba which means source. The Greek word for father, is pater from which we derive our word paternity. It means therefore, that God is our parent and all children of God are brothers and sisters. It stands on the foundation of love and makes it imperative for us to cherish His love, love Him and love one another as we are all one.

It also means Foundation. He is rightly therefore, the Source of life, our existence. And because we are His, He takes responsibility for providing for us not because we deserve it but because He loves us. So then, Father, means foundation, Source, from Whom we derive our sustenance. He is our Provider. To be a Father, therefore, comes with the inherent responsibility for the welfare and wellbeing of one’s children. That is why in some places like America, it is mandatory by law for a man to provide child support.
Satan loves to cripple men financially so as to destroy their ability to provide for their families

PRAY: Dear Lord, establish me financially so I can provide generously for my family, in Jesus Name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION: I command every attack upon the labours of your hands to cease, in Jesus name! God the Father will open doors of breakthrough to all fathers, in Jesus Name!
