“Walk on ahead of the people.” Take the lead! No one can lead from behind. Leaders must take the lead especially in times of crisis. A leader should be ahead of the people. Leading in crisis requires courage, insight and creativity. It requires discernment and discernment is impossible without prayer. A leader should be close to God in prayer in order to be able to hear when He speaks. To take the lead a leader must have a clearly defined vision. He must know where the team is heading and what he wants to achieve.
He must be able to communicate his vision clearly and simply enough for the followers to understand and want to follow. This is very vital for the success of any organization.
Moses took some elders with him to witness what God was going to do and God brought water out of the rock. They not only witnessed it, they learnt a lesson or two in trusting the Lord. That way, you are not just achieving your vision, you are preparing the next generation of leaders.
PRAY: Father, give me clarity of understanding of the vision so that I can lead effectively, in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: Receive the wisdom you require to be able to lead well, in Jesus name!
