1Th 2:4,But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

God the Father was pleased with Jesus; he did those things which pleased the Father-always. Mat 3:17, “And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
John 8:29,And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” Mat 12:18, “Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.”

You must ask yourself if your life is pleasing to God.

How Do You Please God?

1. Godly character. Rom 8:8,So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”
2. Worship. Psa 69:30-31,I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.31This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
3. Faith. Heb 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Your future is decided by who you have chosen to believe. A God you don’t trust cannot bless you, promote or multiply you. It takes faith to shine in the Kingdom.
4. Being fruitful. Soul-winning. Col 1:10, “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.”
5. Obedience to parents. Col 3:20, “Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.”
6. Membership of his family or belonging to him pleases him. 1Sam 12:22,For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.”
7. Sacrifice of righteousness. Psa 51:19, “Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.” There is a high price to pay if you want to rise high.
8. Success. Failure does not please God. Your success makes him happy. He is pleased when we prosper. He has pleasure in the prosperity of his servants.

We are called to please him and if he is not pleased we cannot be blessed.

1. Answered prayers. 1Jn 3:22, “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.”
2. Peace. Pro 16:7, “When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
3. A place and a memorable name in the Kingdom. Isa 56:4-5, “4For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; 5Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.”
