One of the hardest things to do is to wait. Drugs, fraud, robbery, etc. are manifestations of impatience. Impatience has destroyed many lives. Get rich quick schemes have multiplied in our time.
Forces of impatience switch dreams–Sarah gave a counsel that attempted to substitute God’s original dreams. Instead of waiting patiently for Isaac, they decided to have and settle for Ishmael. Pressure and disillusionment lead to impatience which makes people settle for cheaper alternatives: I’m talking of shortcuts. Pressure has made some women settle for men that were not ordained for them by God in marriage with very serious consequences. Don’t be short changed.
Impatience is closely related to discouragement. Impatience and anger go hand in hand. An impatient person will seek short cuts and short cuts can cut one short.
King Saul could not wait patiently for the Prophet Samuel, he lost his throne. Amnon could not wait to marry Tamar. He raped her, messed her up, created massive disaffection in the house of David and lost his life. Please learn to just wait!
PRAY: O Lord my Redeemer, help me to wait patiently for your glorious plan, in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: God is about to open the floodgates of miracles in your life! That baby you have been waiting for is about to come! That husband or wife you have been praying for is about to locate you! You will not end up in disgrace, in Jesus name!!!
