God is holy. It is His nature and character. He displays it in everything He does. He is utterly pure, clean and completely devoid of any stain both in nature and in character. Holiness is everything God is, merciful, loving, kind, truthful, faithful, fair and just. He is completely transparent and upright. The Bible says in Him there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
This is what we are called to be. We are to display these attributes in our dealing with God and humanity. We are called to be utterly and completely transparent, loving, merciful, kind to others, humble, meek and patient. Not boastful, proud or crooked. Our yes must be yes, and our no must be no! We are called to be men and women of our words; we are to be known for our integrity. People should see God when they see us.
Therefore, godliness is not what we say or merely claim, it is who we are and what we do.
When you borrow a book and promise to return it in a week for instance, do you return it in a week? When you make a vow, do you redeem it? Do you keep your promise? People see more of what you do than what you say. The command is simple: be ye holy!
PRAY: Father, help me to amend all character flaws in me, in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: God will bless and lift you to unimaginable heights of glory, in Jesus name!
