You must have confidence in His promise, His ability and willingness to help you. You must have confidence in His faithfulness.
“This is the confidence that we have in Him…”1John 5:14. This is the confidence. How many people have confidence? How many people are really confident! We just saw that Abraham was fully persuaded. He was confident, fully confident. We are supposed to have confidence and be confident in Him. The problem is that God’s children have no confidence. Satan is doing everything possible to destroy the confidence of the people of God. Every attack is aimed at destroying that very precious thing in your life: your faith.
Confident people are full of life. Confident people are full of energy. They are full of hope. They are bold. They approach life differently. They see opportunities where others see danger. They go into battle knowing that failure is impossible. They are not confident in themselves but in their God. They have no grasshopper mentality. Joshua and Caleb had confidence in God. They knew God was not only with them but was helping them to obtain the promise He made to them. The God-factor was their strength. But I discovered also that the more confidence I have in God the more confident I am in myself.
