Bible Reading: Luke 1:26-38, 45
Many prophecies go unfulfilled because many believers are unaware that the fulfillment of prophecy is not automatic. There are steps you must take to make them come to pass. God’s prophetic agenda is for you to flourish this year and beyond. There will be two kinds of Christians in this new decade: those who flourish and those who famish. To secure this breakthrough agenda, you must be fully aware of the conditions and fulfill them to the letter. This is so important. If you meet His conditions, He will change your condition. It is your responsibility to work out your exemption from poverty and humiliation.

There are millions of people enslaved waiting for God to do something. God works on the basis of his Laws. God responds to you based on your obedience to His instructions. He will save you if you repent of your sins. When you sow a seed, He will give you a harvest. If you forgive those who offend you, He will forgive your offences against Him. He will draw near to you if you draw near to Him. He will give you when you ask Him.

How do you then ensure that these prophecies become reality in your own life?
1. Believe them. Luke 1:45 “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Rehearse the prophecy until you believe it beyond every doubt.

2. Pray them back to God. “And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1:38. Tell God you like it and ask Him to fulfill the prophecy in your life. God will never impose His will on you because He does not violate your will.

3. Ask the Lord to show you steps to take to secure His agenda. Only those who ask receive. “Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?” Luke 1:34. Many have not been able to secure God’s agenda because they have not found out how God intends to make it happen. Mary rested because she knew how her pregnancy was going to come about without meeting her husband. She did not then have to go about it the wrong way. If God is sending you somewhere, He will choose the best route for you.

4. Act on them. Plan according to the prophecy and divine direction given you. Obedience is doing what God says you require in order to have what you desire. Joshua 1:8 says, “8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” You must do what is required in order to have what you desire. Realize that every step of obedience you take is for your own good. Job 36:11“11If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.”

5. Expect manifestation. Expectation is proof of faith. Every farmer who plants a seed expects a harvest. Every pregnant woman expects a baby. Expect the word of God to come to pass in your life.

6. War with them. Forces of evil respond first to prophetic words with attacks. Their aim is to deceive you into thinking that the prophecy is wrong. The battle is to steal the word from your heart. You must stand your ground and insist on having what God has promised you. You stand your ground by fulfilling the conditions and requirements for obtaining the promise regardless of the challenges you encounter. Many people stop doing what they are told as soon as they come under Satan’s attack.

Every good thing God has promised you will come to pass in Jesus name!
