Read Matthew 8:5-13
4 Things The Centurion Did In Praise
- He was humble before God. He recognized his unworthiness. He had no sense of entitlement.
- He acknowledged his inability to solve his problem. Why come to God in prayer if you don’t believe He can solve your problem! You don’t need God if you can deal with it.
- He recognised and celebrated the deity of Jesus. He submitted to the authority of Jesus as being the Messiah. And being God, there are no impossibilities with Him. We move towards those who celebrate us. We move away from those who constantly criticise us. That’s the reason God dwells where He is recognised and praised constantly. Psalm 22:3, “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” The Hebrew word for inhabitest is ya shab which means to dwell, stay or remain. God remains where He is celebrated.
- He acknowledged the efficacy of God’s Word. He recognised that God’s power is packaged in God’s Word. There is no anointing without the Word of God.
These four constitute faith. Jesus referred to this as ‘great faith’. Correct worship is the greatest expression of faith. And faith is the requirement for miracles.
PRAY: Lord, fill me with the Spirit of praise.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: God will prosper you beyond your imagination! No problems will remain in your life and home! You are moving from a weak, dejected and frustrated person with no confidence to a courageous and powerful leader, in the name of Jesus!!!
