A dream coming out of your ambition or greed has ‘self’ written all over it and is not likely to
attract God’s help. Joseph’s dream came from God. It was his destiny revealed by God. It was
his divine assignment on earth. It had little or nothing to do with his personal ambition. Any
dream that does not have the backing of God did not originate from Him in the first instance.
Nothing matters more than knowing God’s purpose for your life. It is clear that Joseph

understood the reason for his elevation. He revealed it to his brothers when he revealed himself
to them. It was nothing personal; rather, it was for the purpose of serving and saving others.
Genesis 45:5-8.
Why do you desire to lead? Why do you desire to be elevated? If your desire is not to add value
to others and help them fulfil their dreams, you have the wrong motive. Leaders of nations,
churches or any worthwhile organization should desire to lead because they want to make life
better for the people. Nations have been messed up because of selfish and greedy leaders who
steal from the people and make their conditions worse.
PRAY: Father, fill my heart with compassion for those You have sent me to, in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: Your haters will not succeed in stopping you! God will
protect you every inch of the way until you arrive at the top, in Jesus name!!
