David was an outstanding youth, he was bold. One of the distinguishing attributes of champions is courage. Winston Churchill once said, “Courage is rightly considered the foremost of the virtues because upon it, all others depend.” It separates winners from losers. It separates the haves from the have-nots. It takes courage to take full delivery of your Kingdom heritage. David ran towards Goliath, King Saul, the commander-in-chief and the rest of the army ran away from him in fear. The opposite of courage is fear. Giants bow to the courageous. Enemies submit to the courageous. The faint-hearted quits at the slightest hint of danger but the courageous defies it and moves on to conquer!
Courage is seen in your words and actions. David said he would bring down Goliath and he did.
Courage is also the ability to step out in faith, to launch out into the unknown and then to face the inevitable doubt and uncertainty that accompany every new venture.
We have faced very many serious situations and threats that could only have taken God-given courage to overcome. Great things are scary; that is why only few achieve them. God told Joshua in Joshua 1:6 to only be strong and courageous.
PRAY: Father, strengthen me on the inside to face the giants in my life and overcome them, in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION: May you find the courage to go after your vision and dream when you need it most, in Jesus name!
