One of the things we fail to give Jacob credit for is his persistence; his doggedness. Jacob was a very tenacious individual! He always knew what he wanted and went after it with single-mindedness. He wanted Rachael and served seven years for her but was given Leah instead but served an extra seven years for Rachael because he wouldn’t give up his dream! That is something! In his encounter with a man, he wrestled all night with the man and refused to give up. He said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

Persistence is the ability to maintain action regardless of your feelings. You press on even when you feel like quitting.
The value of persistence comes not from stubbornly clinging to the past. It comes from a vision of the future that’s so compelling you would give almost anything to make it real.
Persistence of action comes from persistence of vision. When you’re super-clear about what you want in such a way that your vision doesn’t change much, you’ll be consistent in your actions.

Your staying-power is your winning-power! Tenacious people are result-oriented. They are not deterred by obstacles, challenges, storms or opposition; they don’t quit until they achieve the results they set out to achieve. They do not accept excuses. Listen friend, you are either making excuses or making things happen! Excuses are those wrong reasons you give for abandoning your goals and objectives in life.
You must know what you want and be ready to do whatever it takes to get it.

PRAY: Dear Lord, give me the courage to persevere until I win, in Jesus name.
