1. Recall and remember God’s goodness and mercy. Psalm 103:1-5 Praise is a deliberate choice to give God thanks – no matter what.

2. Give your testimony. “1O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.” Psalm 105:1-2. Here is the key. Keep celebrating the last victory until you get the next one. The bible says, “Bless the Lord o my soul…..and forget not all his benefits.” That is the problem. People tend to forget. If we remember His faithfulness and mercy in the past, we will be able to trust Him for the present and the future. I wish Israel continued to celebrate this victory. But they did not. Their confidence got shaken by the next series of challenges. They began to murmur. Murmuring is so poisonous it destroys confidence, faith, hope and the will to survive.

3. Don’t appear before Him empty. Deut 16:16, “…and they shall not appear before the LORD empty.” Hannah brought Samuel to the Lord to fulfill her vow and she brought him with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine. The best thing to return to God as offering is that which He has given to you- your life. Offer Him first your heart and it becomes easy to give Him other things. They first gave themselves. Give a thanksgiving offering each time you receive a blessing or deliverance from God. Gratitude is best expressed with a gift. Bring a commensurate thanksgiving offering.

What Happens When You Give Praise To God?

1. When you sing praises unto God, you are provoking divine intervention. “22And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.” 2Chron 20:22. God descends when you praise.

2. Your praise is the key to your deliverance. It is the key to your liberty. As you praise God, your enemies bow to you. Your praise provokes God to move obstacles, obstructions out of your way. Maybe you don’t have some stuff to be moved out of your life, but I am going to scream until He comes down to move some stuff out of my life–some chain, burden, hateful feelings, some hateful people, some pretentious people, debt burdens, demons etc. I need Him to clean some mess out of my life.

3. Your praise provokes God to give you more. God gave Hannah five more children. “21And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters.”1Sam 2:21. Those who give thanks to God for what they have received open the door for more. Anything you thank God for, multiplies.

4. Your thanksgiving provokes God to move you to the next level. Your worship is your passport to your next level. You cannot praise God and remain small.

As you praise God today, miracle jobs will land in your hands. Miracle husbands, children, contracts etc will land in your hands.
